Psalm 119 with its emphasis on the word of God in scripture, leads me to ask if we do much reading of our Bibles these days? Do we remember the stories that we heard as children, or have we ever heard them? If you fancy, (in this time of enforced separation from one another) a little gentle bible reading, you might like to consider the following:
Look up some of the well-known Old Testament stories, for example: Noah and the ark (Genesis Chapters 6-9) or, Joseph (Exodus, Chapters 37-50).
Read the book of Ruth, or that of Esther.
Read the Gospel of Mark, the first and shortest Gospel, and notice how stories are threaded together, and of the journey that ends in Jerusalem. When does Jesus make a definite move south towards Jerusalem?
