Spurgeon, a famous 19th century preacher once looked at the image of the lion in Psalm 57, and gave comfort and advice to those who felt they were among lions:
If you are among lions, you will have fellowship with Jesus and His church.
If you are among lions, you will be driven nearer to your God.
If you are among lions, remember that God has them on a leash.
2. Psalm 57 says that God will 'shelter' us, but what does this mean? Well shelter can come in a number of ways - through someone's help; through a job opportunity; or some words of encouragement. When opportunity comes we need to step forward in faith and take it up, for God works in many different ways.
