How do we find God, and what is being a Christian all about? Often people confuse being a Christian with someone who is a wonderful friend or neighbour and who lives a very good life. But that is not the same. A Christian is someone who has a relationship with God, and who has faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Jeremiah (Chapter 29.13-14) says "When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart."
Unfortunately, the things we have done that are wrong create a barrier with God, and we need to demolish this barrier by repentance. God wants this so much that he allowed His Son, Jesus, to be crucified - payment for our sins - so that we could be reconciled to God. When we have faith in Jesus, and accept his offer to "Come unto me all that labour and I will give you rest," then we are joined or yoked to Him in a lasting partnership.
